Eric is now heard across America and around the world on the Christian Satellite Network and selected local stations. Click here for all the details.
In an effort to redefine Christianity, alarming numbers of popular yet apostate “evangelical” leaders known as “The Emerging Church Movement” are abandoning historic and biblical standards.
In this new 1+ hour video, Eric defines Emergent thinking and terms, concisely exposes the practical and doctrinal errors of the Emergents and draws the striking parallels to New Age thought.

The Truth about the Founding Fathers and Freemasonry
By Ed Decker

This article reveals something of the true nature of Freemasonry. You will see it, not in the abstract, but in the concrete. Its true nature is not readily apparent as many fine people do belong to this organization, and of course it is involved in various charitable activities which also give it an appearance of being an upstanding organization. But there is a saying that you can't judge a book by its "cover" (how appropriate a word in this case), and Freemasonry must be understood not by its cover but by the philosophy, teachings, and spiritual forces which lie behind it.
What I have to say is not meant as an attack on the men who belong to the lodge. I am not an anti-mason, but I am against Masonry, a philosophical system which is opposed to the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I truly love the men of the lodge, and I exhort them to break with an organization which has deceived them.

At the ninth General Assembly of the Orthodox Presbyterian Church, meeting at Rochester, New York, June 2–5, 1942, the Committee on Secret Societies presented its report. The Assembly instructed the Committee to send this report to the ministers and sessions of the Church for their study. The report dealt with a matter of such timely importance that the Committee on Christian Education decided to publish it in its series of “Tracts for Today."
We have excerpted several sections of the report for this publication. You may receive a full copy of the report by writing us or by going on our website and reading it in the Freemasonry Section of our resource library.
Is Masonry a Religion?
On this score the evidence is overwhelming. There is no room for any reasonable doubt as to Masonry’s being a religion. Not only do the symbols, rites and temples of this order point unmistakably to it as a religion, but also a great many Masonic authors of note emphatically declare it to be just that. Of almost numberless quotations that could be given here the committee has selected a few.

QUESTIONS TO ASK JEHOVAH'S WITNESSES
Ask: May we make an appointment to ask some questions about the Bible?
1. Why does the Watchtower [WT] translate "ego eimi" as "I am", 133 out of 134 New Testament occurences, except where it proves Christ is God in John 8:58? Here they translate "ego eimi" as "I have been". Why?
2. Why does the WT translate the New Testament word for Lord (ie. "Kurios") as Jehovah, except where it proves Christ is God? For example, "Jesus Christ is Lord" in Philippians 2:11 and "Jesus is Lord" in I Corinthians 12:3.

In the world of ministry to the cults, some things become abstract definitions of things rather than understandings of people. I have to admit my relationship with the Jehovah's Witnesses had long slipped into that category until one night when my oldest son, Josh, slipped into my study with a worried look.
"Dad," he quietly began, "I have a real problem at school and I need your help." I smiled, wrongly thinking we were going to deal with some errant test score. "I've become good friends with a classmate who is a Jehovah's Witness," he continued. "He has tried to witness to me and I let him know that I'm a committed Christian, but I don't know how to share my own faith with him so that he would see the difference."

From Ed Decker 's lecture notes
I want to deal with the very important subject of the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society headquartered in Brooklyn, New York. They are more commonly referred to as The Jehovah's Witnesses.
Most of you are probably familiar with the Watchtower through their two major magazines that seem to be at every Laundromat in the world and also come to us by the way of those infamous door to door visitors.
The Watchtower Organization is best known by their mass publications. In fact, they are the largest publishers in the free world. In one recent year, they published over 44 million books, over 550 million magazines of the Watchtower magazine which they publish [over 12 million copies every two weeks] in 103 languages of the world.

It’s a rare door that hasn’t felt the knock of the Jehovah’s Witnesses more than once and it’s an even rarer Jehovah’s Witness who has heard the gospel message at one of those doors from the resident Christian.
The reason is simply that it is a far from simple task to witness to a Witness. It’s easier to just close the door and avoid the difficult task of sorting through a maze of confusing doctrines. Let’s try to make it a bit simpler.
There are five important facts to remember about the Jehovah’s Witnesses and the Watchtower Organization.

So...you have finally decided NOW IS the time to learn what to say to the JWs who show up to your front doorstep.
Greet the JWs with a friendly smile, because they are usually very nice themselves. I can only say I have met only one unfriendly JW who has come to my door. 99% are going to smile back (after they have recovered from your friendliness that is). Most JW are met with a scowl and get the door slammed in the face. This encourages them into believing they are being persecuted. The word "persecuted" in the Greek means "to put to flight" to "drive away". Paul, the Apostle of Jesus Christ, was driven away and "put to flight" by getting stoned, and whipped, and beaten, and thrown into prison.

Quick tips in reaching the Jehovah's Witness at your door
Twice in recent days Jehovah's Witnesses have knocked on my door. Let me share with you an extremely powerful set of passages which refute the Watchtower's assertion that Jesus is an angel.
Revelation 1:8 calls God the Father "The Alpha and Omega; the First and Last" (JW's will say "Amen!")
Next, in Revelation 1:17-18 one calling Himself "The First and the Last" states "I was dead but now live" Hummmm...interesting. Now ask: "When did God die?" They will begin to look nervous.
